NEW YEAR… NEW DIPS

2021 was an exciting year for the Justo’s team! We had a successful farmers’ market season (big shout out to our top-notch market team), we officially launched our plant-based ranch dip, expanded into over 70 retail locations across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, attended our first trade shows, and much more!

This last year has allowed us to grow as a business and continue to dream big. Moving into 2022, we’re getting ready for a new season of growth – we’re excited to share what we’ve been working on behind the scenes!

New Sustainability & Community Initiatives

With sustainability and community support at the core of every decision we make, we needed to ensure that our impact grows directly in line with our business. 

We are officially a 1% for the Planet member! As a 1% member, we give 1% of our sales to help fund environmentally focused nonprofit organizations. We’re supporting the Plastic Credit Exchange. This organization supports female entrepreneurs in South East Asia to be leaders, and empower their community to create an income from collecting plastic waste, stopping the plastic from entering waterways and the environment at large. The plastic waste is then reused, recycled, or turned into fuel. Click here to read more our sustainability initiatives.

We’ve created 1% for the People! We will be giving 1% of all sales to help donate delicious plant-based foods to our community’s most vulnerable. This means that for every jar of Justo’s purchases roughly 1 serving of hummus is donated to those in need. Since starting Justo’s we’ve donated over 8,000 jars worth of hummus to our community. By pledging 1% for the planet and an additional 1% for the people, we are ensuring that our sustainability and community impact will grow as our business grows. These new initiatives encompass and solidify the giving nature of Justo’s. From this, we’ll be able to continue to give meaningful donations to both people, and our planet. 

New Dips

In the summer of 2019, we started Justo’s with a focus on our unique hummus recipes. Over time, we expanded our product line to include our mango jalapeño salsa and plant-based ranch dip! In response to the positive feedback to our ranch dip, we’ve continued to develop new plant-based alternative dips. 
 
Queso CHEESE?! Tzatziki?! And, plant-based you say?? Wow. Look no further, these new dips will be at a store near you SOON. Trust us, and go and try these. More plant-based alternatives coming in the future!

Why plant-based?

We founded Justo’s with a core value of sustainability. Did you know that implementing a plant-based diet is the single most impactful thing you can do to reduce your environmental impact? Because of this, we’ve decided to continue focusing our energy on crafting new plant-based dips to help provide delicious, plant-based alternatives.

New Packaging

Along with the launch of our new dips, we wanted to update the overall look of our packaging. Our new packaging has a beautiful range of colours, to match our new delicious dips. Big shout out to our wonderful design partner Hope, and a massive shoutout to our original design partner Halle, whose artwork is still incorporated into our updated look. We are so stoked about the new look and hope you are too!

We’re really excited to see these new changes in action in 2022!
