There are some big changes being made at Justo’s that we are excited to share with you!
From day one, Justo’s dream has been to create an impactful business that does tangible good for both people and our planet. We have tethered the success of our company to the positive impact that we make, allocating 2% of our total sales to funding our community and environmental initiatives.
In order to see our impact grow, we have decided to take the necessary steps to propel our small company forward and shoot for the stars! Our sights are set on becoming a house-hold plant-based brand name across North America.
So, what are these big changes?
- Justo’s is putting a pause on the production of our hummus flavors and mango salsa, as we prioritize our current (and future) innovative plant-based alternative offerings.
- Justo’s Queso, Ranch, and Tzatziki have all had reformulations to make them even more delicious, healthy, and now have a 12 month shelf life while still remaining all natural, using a natural preservative derived from white button mushrooms!
- Justo’s is moving our production facility from a small shared kitchen in Victoria, to a larger production space in Delta, BC.
- Justo’s is partnering with distribution partners to make our products available in stores from coast to coast, as well as an ingredient on menus for restaurants and cafes!
- Justo’s will no longer facilitate our jar return program. We have shifted our focus to another environmental pursuit; Funding the Plastic Credit Exchange via 1% for the Planet; an organization tasked with cleaning our ocean ways from plastic pollution while empowering women entrepreneurs in the world’s most impacted countries.
- We will be continuing our 1% for the people initiative, feeding our populations’ most vulnerable communities, as well as continuing to improve our business through the framework provided by our B-Corp certification.
For three years you have enjoyed the delicious hummus, salsa, and plant-based products made here in Victoria BC. We feel an immense amount of appreciation for you, our community, for supporting us up to this pivotal point, and into this next stage of our journey.
What started as a dream of a group of 22-year-olds, has turned into something that has the potential to be truly special, that will impact the world for the better. With our deepest gratitude and love, thank you.
